DRB Music is all about David Rhodes Brown, a local Cincinnati music icon. David's recent CD release, Browngrass & Wildflowers, was in need of an online presence to match its American roots music style and ever growing popularity. We are so glad that he came to us!

Being former full-time musicians ouselves with a vast understanding of the music industry, we were very excited to create this new website for DRB.

Multi-Topic Website with a Single Focus:

David Rhodes Brown is a singer, songwriter, lyricist, and guitarist (including lap steel, dobro, banjo, and steel guitar). His career began in the 1960's and has spanned several musical genres. To date, his involvement in several music collaborations, multiple local bands, and various recording projects, hasn't even begun to slow him down. In fact, the more he works, the more he works! Browngrass & Wildflowers (David's latest CD) features the contributions of almost 40 talented artists with all proceeds from sales benefitting WKNU, a local public radio station. Even the CD release party created a brand new yearly music festival in Cincinnati and a subsequent new "Troupe" to perform the songs written by David Rhodes Brown. 

So the task at hand was... How do you bring all this together into a single focus?

Well, bands do come and go, CD's get replaced by newer releases, and gigs change constantly. So rather than create a site about Browngrass & Wildflowers (which had already been done by his friend as a favor), we focused on David Rhodes Brown, the musician.

Special Features:

REVERBNATION WIDGETS: Keeping up with a changing tour schedule, new songs, videos, mailing list, and everything else that goes along with the life of a popular musician, can be time consuming as well as overwhelming. We wanted to KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetie) for David and his management team by placing widgets from ReverbNation directly into the new website. This means that David or his staff can update in one place and the website automatically gets updated simultaneously.

SOCIAL BUTTONS: David Rhodes Brown had already built quite an online presence on social sites such as Facebook, MySpace, ReverbNation, and YouTube. We added social buttons in a highly visible area where people can easily find him on these various social sites.

CONTENT RICH: Complete biography, details about his latest CD release (including every featured artist and song lyrics), information about each band that David is a member of, a discography, booking details about The Troupe, press  reviews, and so much more has been included in this website. DRB went from a 5-page website to nearly 100! And there's plenty of room to keep growing! As busy as David is, we know he will need it☺
