The Smile Spa was conceived by cosmetic dentist Dr. Barry Applegate in Covington, Kentucky. His vision of a "smile spa" was a reality in his practice but not online. We set out to change that!

Old Applegate Dentistry website

Dr. Applegate had an existing website built by a good friend of his. While it was nice in its own right, there was so much missing. Literally... It had never been finished. But even if it had, it would not have represented Applegate Dentistry as the Smile Spa it had recently become.

So we went to work... First we surveyed Dr. Applegate's patients to find out what they would like in a website, who would use his website, demographics, and other important criteria. Based on these findings, we built the smile spa website with such features as an appointment reminder, a referral form and contest, an entire section about his friendly staff (patients love them!), detailed information on his high tech equipment and cosmetic procedures, dental health tips, and, of course, highlights of what makes his dental practice like going to an actual spa.

We added some flash in the header, an automated newsletter system, before and after gallery, a section about Dr. Applegate's community involvement, credit and insurance options, a Google map, RSS, Social Bookmarking, and a host of other custom features.
