Putting together your own Joomla website can result in that "cookie cutter" look. As Joomla grows in popularity (20 million Joomla websites and counting), the last thing you want is to look like everyone else.

Have you spent countless hours looking for a template only to find that the one you've chosen doesn't work? Because our experience dates back to 2003, we've actually built Joomla Templates from scratch (not using software). Since that time, we've also modified and corrected numerous "off the shelf" templates as well.

With all the professionally designed, pre-made templates available, many of which are actually free, why is it that your website never really takes shape? Design is, after all, the main reason you haven't built your own website before, right?  Here's why just selecting a pre-made template does not satisfy "design" of a Joomla website...

Since 1996 we've been designing and building websites. We started out using hand-coded HTML. Now that CMS's are available, and we've used Mambo and Joomla exclusively since 2003, the process for building a website has greatly changed from the early days of web development.

Building a Joomla website starts with designing the template. Many things come into play above and beyond the mechanics of creating the template. You need to know...

• What is the ultimate goal of the website?
• What types of menus are needed?
• Which color scheme best fits my business type?
• Will the site be featuring a great deal of content accessible from the homepage?
• What extensions will be utilized and where?

These and many more considerations are explored before the design can be mocked up. Grabbing any pre-made template does not satisfy because the design's purpose is to communicate what YOU do. And that has to be known and understood in the process of creating the design.

This doesn't necessarily mean that you cannot use a pre-made template. Sometimes it just needs a little tweaking here and there. We create custom templates as well as customize pre-made Joomla templates. Either way, we help you look your best.
